A White-tailed deer is captured by a wild game camera installed on a forest preserve on South Bass Island.

We are using game cameras that are given out to interestd participants that live on the islands. Cameras wre wither purchased or loaned from the Ohio Division of Wildlife. The Lake Erie Islands Nature and Wildlife Center hosts a database where the participants can upload images of deer, racoon, foxes, and coyotes. The LEINWC staff uses teh images to identify individuals animals and estimate population sizes.
