Mississippi Coastal Cleanup Program

Since 2016, the Mississippi Coastal Cleanup Program has organized or facilitated a total of 43 cleanup events which attracted 10,662 volunteers who contributed 38,386 volunteer hours to remove 70.2 tons of litter from the beaches, waterways, wetlands, and roads of coastal Mississippi. The Mississippi Coastal Cleanup Program was formed with the mission of influencing active stewardship within our community by preventing and removing litter from the coastal environment through education, outreach, research, and cleanup events.
