COAST SB Community Alliance for Surveying the Topography of Sandy Beaches

Photo: CoAST SB

CoAST SB recruits community members to conduct surveys at their local beaches to provide supplemental data to scientists who model changes our dynamic coastlines. These volunteers not only survey but also learn about their local beaches and participate in workshops. Anyone willing can participate (minors must be accompanied by an adult) and they work directly on site at beaches in Santa Barbara and Ventura county.
